kids celebration day

here is a conversation that maggie and i has yesterday morning on the was to church.
"mom, when is kids celebration day?"
"what maggie"
"kids celebration day!"
"maggie, im not sure what you are talking about."
"you know, like mothers day and fathers day."
laughing i told her that everyday was "kids celebration day".
she then asked "when are you going to draw me a picture?"

when did they get to be so smart?

Too cute. Jude Jr. asked me this once and I gave the same answer--every day! He was a little older so he proceeded to ask what nice things I did for him (I guess instead of asking for a picture.) I proceeded to remind him of his nicely washed and neatly folded and put away laundry, fully-stocked fridge and pantry, meals, school lunches, trips to sporting events, friend's houses, school plays, summer vacations, birthday parties, etc. etc. He got the idea pretty quick. :)

That's great. Sounds like something my kids would say. Two of my kids say they know Maggie. Where do you live? (Have I asked that before?) I live in Horizon Park. I have four kids Jordan (10), Brynn (8), Abigail (6), and Emily (4). Thanks for your encouraging comments on my blog. :)

How cute. I thought you were going to say she said "when are you going to buy me a gift." How wonderful instead of the typical kid who wants a toy/gift she asked for a picture!

Wonderful!

My kids ask this all the time! LOL! I gave them the same answer!

So did you draw her a picture??

you need to send me your email so we can talk that way. This is awkward talking through comments on unrelated blogs. :) But okay, that's who you are! Brynn was sooooooo happy to have that ball back. She's sleeping with it next to her right now. And I think I recognize Maggie. She is very close in age to Emily but I guess in a different Sunday school. Emily's in the tigers. My email is crstokes@suddenlink.net

I remember having the exact conversation with Mom, and she gave me the exact answer you gave.
